Brand Audit Surrey

Find Out How Hard Your Brand Is Really Working

A PRE brand audit is a structured review of how your brand is performing across every touchpoint: visual identity, messaging, consistency, competitive positioning, and digital presence. It sits within our wider branding services in Surrey. The output is a clear, honest assessment of what’s working, what isn’t, and what to prioritise.

We bring the same strategic thinking to a brand audit as we do to a full rebrand. The difference is scope. An audit gives you the picture before you decide what, if anything, needs to change. For some businesses, it confirms that the brand is in good shape and needs only minor attention. For others, it surfaces issues that have been quietly costing them.

What a PRE brand audit covers

1/ Visual identity review

We assess your logo, colour palette, typography, and visual language against your current market position and audience expectations. Is the identity consistent across all applications? Does it still reflect the business accurately? Is it working as hard as it could?

Areas covered:
Logo and mark / Colour system / Typography / Brand consistency across print and digital / Comparison against sector norms and competitors

2/ Messaging and communications review

We review how your brand communicates: your tone of voice, your key messages, your website copy, and your marketing materials. Are you saying the right things to the right people? Is your positioning clear and differentiated?

Areas covered:
Website messaging / Marketing materials copy / Social media presence / Tone of voice consistency / Key message clarity

3/ Competitive positioning

We map your brand against your direct competitors to understand where you sit in your market and where the opportunities are. This is not a theoretical exercise: it’s a practical assessment of how a potential client experiences your brand relative to the alternatives.

Areas covered:
Competitor visual identity comparison / Messaging and positioning gaps / Sector conventions and where to stand apart / Opportunities for differentiation

What you get at the end

A written brand audit report covering all three areas above, with findings presented clearly and prioritised by impact. We include specific recommendations for each issue identified, so you leave the process knowing exactly what to do next, whether that’s a minor adjustment, a brand refresh or rebrand, or a more fundamental rethink.

The report is designed to be useful, not impressive. Clear language, specific observations, and actionable recommendations, not a lengthy document full of frameworks and jargon.

Brand audit questions we get asked

How is a brand audit different from a rebrand?

A brand audit is a review and a recommendation. A rebrand is the action that follows if the audit identifies that significant change is needed. Many businesses start with an audit precisely because they are not sure whether they need a rebrand or something more modest. The audit gives you the information to make that decision with confidence. You can read more about how we approach rebranding and logo design on our dedicated pages.

How long does a brand audit take?

A PRE brand audit typically takes two to three weeks from briefing to delivery of the written report. More complex audits covering a large portfolio of brands, multiple markets, or extensive competitor research will take longer. We agree the scope and timeline before we begin.

What happens after the audit?

That depends on what the audit finds. Some clients use the report to make changes in-house. Others ask us to implement the recommendations, whether that’s a brand refresh, a website update, or a full rebrand. There’s no obligation to take any further work with us after the audit. We’d rather give you an honest picture and let you decide what to do with it.

Do you work with businesses that already have a brand agency?

Yes. A brand audit can be a useful independent perspective even if you have an existing agency relationship. We’ll assess what’s there objectively and give you a clear picture of where it’s working and where it isn’t. We’re direct about what we find, regardless of who produced the original work.

Let's build something exceptional together

Most businesses know when something feels off about their brand. The logo looks dated. The website doesn’t reflect where the company is now. The marketing materials don’t quite hang together. But knowing something is wrong and knowing what to do about it are two different things. A brand audit gives you the clarity to act with confidence rather than guesswork.
