THE BRIEF

Heritage with Diversity

Pre were originally brought in to work on Denbies’ press advertising, but after a few projects we soon recognised that a new design strategy was required in order to create a more cohesive yet diverse set of sales and marketing materials that would build on their heritage while appealing to a wide range of audiences.

OUR APPROACH

Structured Flexibility

The challenge for Denbies was twofold. Firstly, there are many assets to the estate – such as the acres of beautiful country setting, cellar tours and wedding and conference facilities, as well as the wine itself. Secondly their target audience is incredibly diverse, ranging from mature wine enthusiasts, younger wedding venue hunters, business event organisers; to families interested in fun seasonal activities.

We worked with Denbies to develop their brand in such a way as to retain a consistent feel, whilst allowing flexibility for their varied products and audiences. It’s not often we work with a client to develop inconsistencies within their brand, but for Denbies it was the right approach.

We’ve worked with Denbies for years now on projects ranging from promotional items, flyer designs, wedding brochures and award-winning website.

THE RESULT

Awards and Continued Success

The new strategy has been a complete success. As for the new website, the improvements are clear; it has a great new design with improved user journeys and responsive layouts. Post launch we saw visits to the website increase by 20% year-on-year. Returning visitors also increased and bounce rates were down.

The icing on the cake was in 2017 when the website won the Gold Award in the Surrey Digital Awards.
