The client
Vision Engineering is a global manufacturer of precision optical and metrology instruments, headquartered near Woking, Surrey. Founded in 1958, they design and build ergonomic stereo microscopes, digital inspection systems and non-contact measuring equipment used by manufacturers worldwide. Their products, including the award-winning Mantis and the Lynx EVO, are known for solving real problems on the production line: reducing operator fatigue, improving inspection accuracy and supporting consistent quality control.
The brief
We began working with Vision Engineering in early 2026, brought in to help overhaul their suite of product marketing materials. Their existing collateral had evolved organically over time, designed by different hands, and needed a consistent and professional identity that reflected the quality of the products it was representing. The initial scope covered a full refresh of their flagship Mantis product brochure, the creation of new InDesign templates for use across their brochure and spec sheet range, and design and layout of the new Edge Series brochure, an 8-page piece introducing their latest metrology product line. A product range brochure rebuild and a Precision Buyer’s Guide followed shortly after.

Our approach
Precision instruments deserve precision in the materials that sell them. We started by understanding how Vision Engineering’s existing collateral was actually being used, by their sales team, at trade shows, and through a global distributor network. That context shaped everything: from how we built the InDesign templates (designed to be adapted in-house and translated via their Redokun platform) to the hierarchy and layout approach across each piece.
For the Mantis brochure refresh, we retained the core structure while bringing consistency and clarity to the typography, layout and image treatment. For the Edge Series launch, we designed from the ground up, creating a clean, technical aesthetic that matched the precision of the product itself. Throughout, we worked directly with Vision Engineering’s Content Marketer, responding quickly to feedback and keeping the project moving through multiple rounds of content and image amends.
The result
In a matter of months, Vision Engineering have started to move from a fragmented set of marketing materials to a coherent, print-ready suite, consistent in style, built to scale, and designed to support their global sales and distribution operation.
The new InDesign templates gave their in-house team the ability to produce additional pieces without losing brand consistency. The Edge Series brochure was delivered on time to support the product launch. The product range brochure and Precision Buyer’s Guide extend the same standard to the rest of their collateral.
For a business where product quality is everything, the marketing materials now reflect that.
