Initially Pre were asked to create a brand for Johnston Sweepers’ new technology service, SmartLink. Following on from the success of that project, Johnston asked us to redesign their UK and global websites to better reflect their market-leading position, reputation for excellence and exceptional customer service. Founded in 1904 they had an excellent history of experience but the danger was that the market would focus too much on this and miss the huge leaps in innovation and advancements that Johnston continually make.
For the first year with Johnston we worked on completely redesigning Johnston’s websites and marketing materials – finding the right balance between retaining recognition within the industry with taking a huge step forward in the design of all of their visual communications.
We built two responsive websites linked to one content management system (CMS) which enables information to be displayed in some markets and withheld in others as required. Both websites feature animated sliders, galleries, videos and features that deal with large, detailed amounts of content as well as a secured ‘Resources’ area with technical details and vehicle specifications only accessible to selected partners, customers and distributors.
The new brand styling for Johnston has strongly positioned them as innovators and better reflects their position as a leader in the sector. The new websites are more impactful, engaging and technically robust. They honour Johnston’s heritage and market-leading position whilst ensuring that the company’s continued innovation will be a key message for years to come.
We are delighted with the website Pre has created for us, lots of positive comments have been received from customers, distributors and colleagues.
