We Build Exceptional* Brands
*(Exceptional comes as standard).
We help our clients to articulate their brand offering and share it with the world. We build brands that deeply connect with customers, employees and the general public to build confidence and recognition.
We appeal to people’s emotions through branding to give our clients a human side which their customers feel more connected to – meaning they remain loyal and tell others about their experience.
We create brands that people care about and that put our clients ahead of their competition.
A brand is more than a logo. It’s the sum of every impression a business makes: the way it looks, how it speaks, and how it makes people feel. When those things align, a brand becomes an asset. When they don’t, it works against you.
We’ve been building brands for businesses across Surrey, London, and beyond for over 15 years. In that time, we’ve worked with start-ups finding their identity for the first time and established organisations ready to evolve. The brief changes. The approach doesn’t: every project starts with a genuine understanding of your business, your audience, and what you’re trying to achieve.
How we build exceptional brands
1/ Exploration
We take a 'glass slipper' approach.
If it’s not the perfect fit then it’s the wrong fit. We create brands for our clients that are made to measure by working from an informed and robust starting point. We focus on a client’s market, target audience, positioning and objectives (either provided by the client or after research & positioning phases).
Typical projects:
Naming exercises / Design concepts / Logo designs / Key asset mockups / Colour palettes / Typography / Photography / Competitor benchmarking / Language and tone of voice / Presentations to internal teams
2/ Creation
We create, we strengthen & we refine.
We take painstaking care over building and developing the visual language of identities – creating brands that are as strong and effective as they can possibly be. We answer the question: How can our clients’ vision, values, positioning and offering be best articulated to the outside world?
Typical projects:
Brand development and refining / Stakeholder presentations / Creation of key in-house templates
3/ Roll-out
Introducing your brand to the world.
Working from established design styles and guidelines, we create the items that our clients need to communicate effectively to the outside world.
From stationery, internal templates and signage through to large external marketing campaigns, we ensure that everything produced is on brand, on message and on time.
Typical projects:
Stationery / Presentation and in-house templates / Corporate brochures / Signage / email signatures / uniforms / interior decoration / marketing materials
4/ Building
Success through consistency.
We create templates and guideline documents that ensure our clients’ brands remain consistent and perfectly understood – both internally and to a wider global audience. Not only does it help to maintain a high level of quality control, it also makes internal teams more efficient by streamlining the creative process.
Typical projects:
Guidelines documents / Brand assets / Presentations / In-house templates
What a branding project with PRE looks like
Brand projects vary in scope, but they follow the same fundamental logic: understand first, design second. We take time at the start of every project to get under the skin of your business, your market, your competitors, your customers, and your ambitions. That investment in understanding is what separates a brand that looks right from one that works.
Most branding projects with us cover some combination of brand strategy, visual identity, brand guidelines, and rollout across your key touchpoints. Some clients come to us for a complete rebrand. Others need a brand refresh that respects what’s already working while fixing what isn’t. We’re direct about which approach is right for your situation, not the most expensive one.
The process is collaborative throughout. You work directly with us, not an account manager. That means faster decisions, clearer communication, and work that reflects a genuine understanding of your business rather than a briefing document passed down a chain.
Brand identity
design
Your visual identity is the most visible expression of your brand, and the one that does the most work across the most touchpoints. A well-designed identity is consistent, distinctive, and built to work everywhere: on screen, in print, at scale, and at thumbnail size.
We design brand identities from the ground up: logo, colour palette, typography, iconography, and the rules that govern how they work together. Everything is built with purpose. The typeface choice isn’t aesthetic preference; it’s a signal about who you are. The colour palette isn’t decoration; it’s doing emotional work before anyone reads a word.
Every identity we create comes with clear guidelines so your team, your printers, and any future agencies can use it correctly and consistently. A brand only earns recognition through repetition, and repetition only works when it’s consistent.
Rebranding
projects
Sometimes a business outgrows its brand. The logo that worked at launch looks wrong on a new website, at a new scale, or in a new market. The tone of voice that felt right five years ago doesn’t reflect who the company has become. That’s not a failure. It’s a sign the business has moved on.
A rebrand done properly is one of the highest-return investments a business can make. Done poorly, it loses the equity you’ve built. We approach rebranding with care: understanding what’s worth keeping, what needs to change, and how to transition without losing your existing audience.
We’ve led rebrands for businesses across sectors including professional services, technology, healthcare, hospitality, and the third sector. Every one of those projects started with the same question: what does this business need its brand to do?
Why businesses in Surrey and London choose PRE
We work with businesses of all sizes, from founder-led start-ups to large established organisations. What they have in common is that they want a creative partner who genuinely understands their business, not an agency that applies a template and sends an invoice.
Because we’re a focused team rather than a large agency, our clients get direct access to the people doing the work. That means the thinking that went into the brief is the same thinking that shapes the creative. No dilution through layers. No briefing documents that lose something in translation.
Our Surrey base puts us close to clients across Epsom, Guildford, Leatherhead, and the wider M25 corridor. Our London studio at Battersea Power Station gives us a base for clients across the city. We work with businesses across the South East and beyond. Geography matters less than fit.
Branding questions we get asked
How much does a branding project cost?
Branding projects vary considerably depending on scope. A start-up identity project is a different undertaking to a full organisational rebrand with rollout across multiple touchpoints. We’re transparent about costs from the start: we’ll tell you what’s realistic for your budget and what we’d recommend investing in for the results you’re after. Get in touch and we’ll give you an honest steer.
How long does a branding project take?
A focused brand identity project typically takes four to ten weeks from briefing to final files. A more comprehensive rebrand with strategy, identity, guidelines, and rollout will take longer, usually three to five months. We set clear timelines at the start of every project and flag early if anything is going to affect them.
Do we need a full rebrand or just a refresh?
Not every brand needs rebuilding from the ground up. Sometimes a logo refinement, a more considered colour palette, or a clearer tone of voice is enough to make a meaningful difference. We’ll tell you honestly which approach is right for your situation. If a refresh is the better answer, we’ll say so.
Can you help with brand guidelines?
Yes, and we’d recommend it for any brand that will be used across more than one context or by more than one person. Good brand guidelines don’t just document rules; they explain the thinking behind them, which makes them far more likely to be used correctly. We produce guidelines that people actually refer to.
